Licensing Sara Taylor designs
Licensing is the business of leasing the copyright or trademarked design work by means of a contractual agreement (a license) between Sara Taylor and the client. The TERMS OF COPYRIGHT LICENSE TO BE GRANTED will be discussed and agreed by both Sara Taylor and the client. A signed Commission Acceptance including the following agreed terms, will be put in place before any work in undertaken by Sara Taylor:
Usage: specific products, promotional or service where the design is to be used.
Area covered by LICENSE: agreed territory.
Duration: a specific agreed time period.
Exclusive/Non-Exclusive: rights to the image granted.
Artwork fee: if the artist is to apply the design to a product a fee will be applied on top of the usage fee (this will be redeemed against royalty payments)
Usage fee: an agreed upon fee or royalty.

Copyright
All copyrights remain with Sara Taylor unless exclusive rights are granted. If a client requires exclusivity to a design and opts to Buy Out the design the artist fee will be dependant on the potential product usages and its potential lifespan. Clients can also opt for a 1 to 5 year Exclusive License. After the term expires the copyright would return to Sara Taylor to re-license.
